AI for Everyone: Join TKU’s Hackathon

November 28, 2023

Register for a day of AI exploration and innovation

Purple flyer that says: AI for All Minds Hackathon. Sunday Dec. 10 in Downtown Brooklyn or Online. AM: Explore AI's Potential and PM: Get Creative with AI. There will be AI Experts, Games and Prizes. $10 Full Day and $5 Half day. Financial Aid Available.

Artificial Intelligence seems to be everywhere— people are talking about it, educators are thinking about its use in the classroom and students are thrilled that it could help in their studies. But what is AI?

Will this 21st century technology change everything— the way we work, study, write, socialize and more?

On Sunday December 10, 2023, TKU will explore these ideas and more at  AI For All Minds Hackathon, an event sponsored by Infosys Foundation USA. This all-day hybrid event, designed for neurodiverse students ages 10-24, will center around artificial intelligence and its societal impact. TKU’s annual Hackathons always explore an important topical issue related to society.

Students are invited to join us at NYU Tandon School of Engineering to enjoy a day of exploration, thinking, creation and more. Lunch will be provided for students who can join in-person. Participants also have the option to participate remotely through the concurrently offered online workshops.

The day will include notable guests, such as the award-winning digital AI artist Refik Anadol. Anadol showcased his work at The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, and his generative artwork titled ‘Unsupervised’ was recently acquired by the Museum of Modern Art for their permanent collection. The artist will speak to the students in the afternoon about his digital artwork and the role of AI. As well as Integrated Design & Media (IDM) program director and TKU Board Member, Luke DuBois who will be giving a special talk to parents about the importance of AI.

Participants will get to try out some of the newest AI tools to create chatbots, music, and art. Register for  a day of socializing with peers, meeting AI experts, playing games, and the chance to win raffle prizes!
