Tech Unlimited (formerly Tech Kids Unlimited) is a New York City–based educational nonprofit that uses technology, computer science, and social-emotional learning to ignite unlimited futures for neurodiverse students ages 10–24. Students who learn and think differently explore the creative power of technology, develop work-readiness skills, and build confidence through engaging virtual and in-person programs. Tech Unlimited offers a range of tech workshops and career readiness programs within a fun, inclusive, and supportive community.


Position Title: Education Program Coordinator or Manager (FT)

Salary Range: $72,000–$80,000 (commensurate with experience)

Other Info: This is a hybrid role with some days in-person at downtown Brooklyn and other days working from home. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance along with paid vacation, sick and personal days.
Reports To: Education Director

Overview: The Education Program Coordinator or Manager plays a central role in supporting the coordination and delivery of educational programs for neurodiverse students ages 10-24, helping them build skills, confidence, and community. This position involves working closely with teaching staff who facilitate programs, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality program delivery.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, personable, and adaptable, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. You should enjoy working directly with staff, teachers and students and supporting their work. Attention to detail, organization, and a passion for education and youth programs are essential.


Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination and Implementation

  • Serve as the primary administrator for select educational programs and workshops, managing logistics.
  • Collaborate with a team of educators, administrators, and social workers to ensure programs run smoothly and meet learning objectives.
  • Support the development of programs and materials to keep offerings current, engaging, and in line with best practices. 
  • Manage logistics for in-person and virtual programs, including registration, materials, and space or technology setup.

Educator and Curriculum Support

  • Provide administrative support for teaching staff, including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping including reports. 
  • Provide feedback on curriculum and facilitation, and assess the performance of part-time education staff.
  • Assist with onboarding and training for instructors, ensuring access to schedules, materials, and resources.
  • Support professional development sessions and internal communication among education staff.

Program Operations and Evaluation

  • Support in the collection of data regarding program participation and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement. 
  • Support Education Director in gathering feedback from participants and staff to inform program improvements.
  • Prepare reports, materials, and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Maintain accurate program data and documentation using digital tools (Google, Zoom, Airtable, Slack, Canva, etc.).
  • Assist with collecting stories and data for grant or funding reports.

Community Engagement and Communications

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, staff, and partners about program activities and updates.
  • Help with drafts of email newsletters, announcements, and internal communications as needed.
  • Represent the organization at occasional community events or meetings related to programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred in education, digital media, nonprofit management, youth development, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in program coordination, education, or related administrative roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with a range of learners and educators is a plus.
  • Proficiency with common digital tools for communication and project management.
  • Enthusiastic about supporting high-quality, inclusive educational programming.
