Position Title: Teaching & Learning Education Program Coordinator or Manager (FT)
Salary Range: $72,000–$80,000 (commensurate with experience)
Other Info: This is a hybrid role with some days in-person at downtown Brooklyn and other days working from home. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance along with paid vacation, sick and personal days.

Overview: The Teaching & Learning Education Program Coordinator or Manager plays a central role in both instructional leadership and program operations, supporting the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of educational programs for neurodiverse students ages 10–24.
This role is ideal for a former public or private school teacher or an out-of-school-time educator with strong classroom experience who is ready to grow into a leadership position. The Coordinator/Manager works closely with teaching staff, providing curriculum guidance, instructional feedback, coaching, and supervision, while also supporting program logistics, data collection, and staff training.
The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, motivated, and reflective, with a strong foundation in teaching, curriculum development, social-emotional learning, and project-based learning. You enjoy working directly with educators and students, using data and observation to improve instruction and create inclusive, engaging learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership & Teaching Support
- Provide instructional leadership and feedback to teaching staff, including observation, coaching, and performance assessment.
- Support curriculum development and facilitation across programs, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with best practices.
- Lead or co-lead staff trainings, professional development sessions, and instructional planning meetings.
- Model strong teaching practices and provide direct instruction to students as needed.
- Support teaching staff with behavior management strategies and classroom routines that promote safety, engagement, and inclusion.
Program Coordination & Operations
- Serve as the primary administrator for select educational programs and workshops.
- Manage logistics for in-person and virtual programs, including registration, materials, schedules, space, and technology setup.
- Provide administrative support to educators, including scheduling, communication, reporting, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate program data and records using digital tools such as Airtable, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and Canva.
Curriculum, Assessment & Data-Informed Practice
- Support data-driven decision-making by collecting and analyzing participation, attendance, and learning outcome data.
- Support assessment of student learning through projects, observations, and feedback.
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and performance data.
- Gather feedback from students and staff to inform program improvements and instructional adjustments.
Student & Community Support
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs in collaboration with educators and social workers.
- Help create project-based, problem-solving–focused learning experiences that build confidence and real-world skills.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, families, staff, and partners.
- Assist with drafting newsletters, announcements, and internal communications.
- Represent Tech Unlimited at occasional community events or meetings.
Reporting & Organizational Support
- Prepare reports, materials, and presentations for internal and external use.
- Assist with collecting stories, data, and documentation for grants and funder reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in education, digital media, youth development, nonprofit management, or related field.
- 4–5+ years of experience teaching in a classroom or out-of-school-time setting (public, private, or nonprofit).
- Experience working with neurodiverse learners strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with middle school, high school, and/or college-age students.
- Experience with curriculum development and facilitation.
- Interest and knowledge in digital media, technology, creative coding, game design, or animation.
- Experience supervising, training, or providing feedback to educators or staff.
- Familiarity with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) practices.
- Strong classroom management and behavior support strategies.
- Experience with project-based learning, collaborative learning, and problem-solving approaches.
- Comfort using data to inform instructional and program decisions.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including Airtable and other project management or communication platforms.
