Administration

  • Beth Rosenberg

    Founder & Executive Director

    Beth is an educator and advocate with over 30 years of experience working in art, technology, and education. She holds an MS in Education Technology and Special Needs and an MA in Art History. Her career began in the Education Department at the Guggenheim Museum, followed by serving as the Founding Education Director at Eyebeam, and later consulting for more than 20 museums and community organizations across New York City. Beth is currently a faculty member in the Department of Technology, Culture and Society at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. She began leading tech workshops in 2009 for her neurodiverse son and continues to be a passionate advocate for students with disabilities.

  • Haley Shibble

    Education Director

    Haley is an educator with over a decade of experience teaching and administering art and technology programs. She is a creative technologist who holds a BA in Digital Media from Duquesne University and an MFA in Design + Technology from Parson School of Design. Her expertise includes overseeing an education staff along with curriculum. She enjoys giving professional development training on universal design for learning to educators in New York City and has presented at multiple national conferences. She is devoted to creating inclusive learning environments and designing programs that empower neurodiverse learners.

  • Laura Olivieri Robles

    Director of Operations, People and Culture

    Laura brings years of experience in media and nonprofit administration. She earned her master’s degree from the CUNY Newmark School of Journalism and previously worked in production at a major television network. Now she manages Tech Unlimited’s daily operations, marketing and human resources. Laura is committed to building efficient systems, supporting staff, and ensuring programs run at the highest quality to serve students effectively.

  • Ellen Goldstein

    Development Strategist

    Ellen has more than 25 years of experience fundraising for NYC nonprofit organizations. She has a BA from Pomona College and an MSW from Columbia University.

  • Lauren Owen

    Education Project Manager

    Lauren is the Education Project Manager with experience designing and supporting learning initiatives for students and professionals. She has developed curriculum and workshops on topics ranging from digital media and app design to accessibility and user experience. Lauren holds a Master’s in Integrated Digital Media from NYU and a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems from Howard University. She has taught in both classroom and community settings, working with high school students, neurodiverse youth, and adult learners. Her work focuses on making education practical, engaging, and inclusive.

  • Anna Boyarko

    Work-Based Learning Coordinator

    Anna is a Direct Support Professional and Career Advisor who has guided individuals in building skills, exploring career paths, and achieving greater independence. Her work is grounded in community engagement, empathy, and an understanding of diverse learning and communication needs. She is also a multimedia and social media specialist with a passion for children’s book illustration, graphic design, and the arts.

  • Kianna Eddy

    Education Data Associate

    Kianna recently graduated with a BS in Integrated Design and Media, with minors in Disability Studies and Management, from NYU Tandon School of Engineering. She is now pursuing a MS in Management of Technology at NYU Tandon. Passionate about user experience design and project management, Kianna plays a key role in planning and delivering tech workshops, leveraging her skills to create accessible, user-centered solutions. Her academic journey and professional contributions reflect a strong commitment to fostering creativity, inclusivity, and empowerment through technology for students.

  • Karolina Lajch

    Program Associate

    Karolina is a creative technologist and designer with experience in communications and production across academic, nonprofit, and creative environments. She holds an MS in Integrated Design and Media from NYU Tandon and a BFA in Photography and Imaging from NYU Tisch.

  • Pilar Gutierrez

    Education Assistant

    Pilar is a digital artist and printmaker who recently graduated from Cornell University with a BFA. She has experience facilitating workshops, supporting students and educators, and helping creative spaces run smoothly. Her work aims to create learning environments that are accessible and welcoming of multiple perspectives. Pilar is especially interested in how access to technology can support creative practice and help people become active members of their communities.

  • Jack Rubin

    Co-Creator of Tech Unlimited

    Jack loves technology and was inspired to learn how to be a creator of tech back in 2009 when the very first then Tech Kids Unlimited workshop was piloted. He enjoys playing video games, creating videos and watching funny shows. He studied film at Pace University. He works part-time as an Operations Assistant at a special education school in NYC.

     

Counselors

  • Michaela Lee

    Michaela enjoys supporting students in their tech education journey. She likes to do ceramics and read. She has a BA in computer science and math.

  • Nolan Duarte

    Nolan is a previous Tech Unlimited Student and now works as a counselor for TU programs.

  • Seth Truman

    Seth is a former Tech Unlimited intern whose creativity flourished through the workshops he attended. With passions spanning animation, video games, and fine arts, he now shares his expertise with the students. Seth earned his BFA from Marymount Manhattan College in 2024 and works today as a freelance artist.

  • Zoë Adams

    Zoë studied writing at Pace University and has spent over ten years working with children. She is passionate about storytelling and helping people find their voices in creative ways. She spends her free time playing video games and cuddling with her two cats.

Tech Teachers

  • Celeste Newcomb

    Celeste is a media artist and adjunct lecturer. They are passionate about teaching digital design tools and interactive technologies that empower students to explore creativity and express their identities in new ways. Celeste is currently pursuing their graduate thesis in the Integrated Media Arts program at Hunter College and serves as the lab instructor for undergraduate Visual Communication and Interactive Design.

  • Chloe Adkins

    Chloe is an accessibility researcher and data enthusiast. Chloe is passionate about demystifying tech skills and empowering learners to ask questions about the world around them. While finishing their Master’s degree in NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering, Chloe works as a graduate research assistant in the NYU Ability Project.

  • Dana Sy-Ching

    Dana holds a BS in Integrated Design and Media. She enjoys being able to share an appreciation for technology and design in an accessible and inclusive manner through TU. In both teaching and learning, she values being experimental, making things fun, and allowing room for expression.

  • Daniel Ryan Johnston

    Daniel is a Brooklyn-based queer textile artist, accessibility researcher, and creative technologist. Mixing a love of creepy puppets, wearable technology and machine embroidery sculpture, Daniel’s work explores personal experiences with managing mental health, body image and psoriatic arthritis.

  • David Sainté

    David is a Haitian American multimedia artist and educator based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. As an educator, David teaches both contemporary art and digital media, empowering his students to explore creativity through physical art making, film, 3D design, and immersive technology. His teaching emphasizes the intersection of culture, identity, and community, encouraging students to tell their own stories through innovative artistic practices.

  • Elijah Alvarez

    Elijah is a designer and instructor of many types. Apart from teaching and assisting at TU, he does youth climbing, and cycling instruction. He holds a BFA from NYU in interactive media arts and is currently pursuing an Interior Design degree from Pratt.

  • Noor Jamal

    Noor is a tinkerer who is passionate about all sorts of creative technologies. Their primarily interested in music education and instrument design.

  • Fran Rojo

    Fran is an educator and programmer. They teach at various universities in New York. Before that, they worked as a software engineer at Google. They are excited to share what they know with anyone who wants to listen.

  • Gage Delprete

    Gage is an educator with over eight years of experience split between teaching art, community programs, and formal gaming in NYC. He received an MFA at Tufts University with a focus on contemporary art and narrative painting. He is also focused on gamemastering Dungeons & Dragons— a new social skills initiative taught within a TU workplace learning program.

  • Leah Gauthier

    Leah is a studio artist, designer and educator. She’s a founder and member of Life Forms a collective of Maine women sculptors, and and owns Moon Food Studio, a full service design shop dedicated to amplifying the creativity of artists, arts organizations, and craftspersons; the voices of under-represented communities; and the brilliant ideas of others-centered, everyday visionaries making local and global positive change.

  • Mallory Weber

    Mallory loves working with emerging technologies and co-creating an inclusive and affirming classroom environment. Mallory is a librarian at Packer and a longtime summer program instructor at Girls Who Code.

  • Matthew Toups

    Matthew is a current BS/MS student in Integrated Design & Media, focused on creative technology and architectural installation work, interested in teaching students how to express their creativity and think about space / composition with their work!

  • Michael Bashner

    Michael has a BA in computer science from the University of Rochester and is currently a grad student at NYU. They are a passionate educator who cares about improving accessibility and finding ways to effectively engage any and everyone in learning. In their free time, Michael loves to sing, play guitar, and participate in community theater.

  • Saleem Aknine

    Saleem is a cybersecurity consultant who specializes in government compliance and advisory. He is dedicated to supporting organizations in achieving secure and effective digital practices while mentoring others in technology. After gaining experience at a consulting firm and completing a nine-month apprenticeship at a startup, Saleem is now pivoting his expertise toward roles that combine technology with community, customer success, and marketing.

  • Santiago Méndez

    Santiago is a digital media artist specializing in filmmaking. He is passionate about helping others find ways to express themselves through digital tools and storytelling. Santiago is currently teaching and pursuing a Masters at Hunter College.

  • Sevan Mujukian

    Sevan is an interdisciplinary designer, artist, and educator based in Los Angeles. With an MFA in Game Design from New York University, she has taught game design and digital media art at Fitchburg State University and the City University of New York. At TU, Sevan has contributed to several innovative projects, including an NSF-funded game development workshop and a specialized course designed to help students earn their drone pilot licenses.

  • Steven Yoo

    Steven is an educator dedicated to bringing out the best in all students. He passionately inspires students to create and share technology in a supportive, individualized environment. His teaching pedagogy focuses on three primary goals: Active Learning, Continuous Improvement & Adaptation, and Inclusive Learning. By addressing gaps in accessible educational experiences, he aims to change the paradigm for education and employment for neurodiverse students.

  • Tina Mbiti

    Tina possesses a unique ability to create immersive technology, digital media and arts workshops tailored to neurodiverse youth. Armed with extensive expertise in Game Design and Coding, she infuses a multidisciplinary approach into her teaching.

  • Weixiong Zhu

    Weixiong is a multi-disciplined programmer who has done work with web and game development with a Bachelors in Computer Science from NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Arts in Teaching at the NYU Steinhardt to bridge the gaps between tech and underrepresented students.

Social Workers/OTs

  • Brittany Banks

    Social Work Intern Supervisor

    Brittany is an LCSW and SIFI-certified private practice therapist specializing in Neurodiversity. After years of working in schools with students ages 5-18, she transitioned to working with Tech Unlimited in 2023. She has spent her career strengthening her knowledge of both ADHD and Autism and developing evidence-based interventions and modalities to support neurodiverse children and adults.

  • Hunter Soileau

    Lead Social Worker

    Hunter is a licensed social worker and therapist. Hunter has worked with Tech Unlimited since 2021 as both a graduate intern and a staff member. He is a passionate supporter of Tech Unlimited’s work readiness programs that offer participants combined skills based learning, professional mentoring, and added social-emotional support.

  • Ellen Mullan-Jayes

    Social Worker, LMSW

    Ellen earned her Master’s of Social Work from Columbia University, where she built a foundation in advanced generalist practice and school-based social work. With years of experience, she is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families in areas such as social-emotional learning, education, and advocacy.

  • Ria Sarkar

    Social Worker, LMSW

    Ria is a dedicated Forensic Social Worker at Comprehensive Family Services and Queens Defenders, where she provides comprehensive support and intervention for court-involved children and families, including those who are neurodivergent. With a Master of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work and extensive experience in crisis intervention and case management, Ria excels in advocating for clients within legal and social service systems.

  • Laura Zaugg

    Social Worker, LMSW

    Laura received her Master’s in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. She has spent her career working in a variety of educational spaces supporting students and families with counseling and social emotional support.

  • Amita Sekhon

    Social Worker, LMHC-LP

    Amita has a bachelors in Psychology and Education and a masters in Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University. She has worked extensively with students and families in educational settings as both a teacher and a counselor. She loves learning and trying new things and is enjoying supporting Tech Unlimited and their students!

  • Aliyah K. Harrell

    Social Worker

    Aliyah has a bachelor’s degree in TV/Radio Production from Brooklyn College and a master’s degree from NYU’s Silver School of Social Work. She is passionate about serving and empowering vulnerable communities.

  • Aafia Alladin

    Social Worker

    Aafia has a master’s in Social Work at Columbia University in the Clinical track. She enjoys poetry and spending time with family & friends.

  • Deniz Cem Ozcan

    Social Worker

    Deniz started as an intern and is pursuing a master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. He is very personally connected and passionate about neurodivergence, and wants to work with neurodivergent clients as a clinician in the future. In his free time, he makes very detailed mods of video games.
