About LEV
LEV is a free library of ready-to-use, technology lessons and instructional design resources that help educators create inclusive, engaging learning experiences.
Co-created with educators and social workers, LEV brings together creative technology, social-emotional learning (SEL), and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to support different ways of learning, communicating, collaborating, and creating.
LEV is designed with neurodiverse learners at the center, while using teaching practices that can benefit all students. Lessons are flexible enough for classrooms, after-school programs, summer programs, homeschool settings, and other enrichment environments.
Our Teaching Ethos
-
Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
UDL is a pedagogy that meets students where they are by removing barriers to learning. Teachers provide multiple ways for students to engage, access information and demonstrate what they know.
-
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
SEL encompasses five competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.
-
Project-Based Learning (PBL)
Students engage in solving real-world problems over an extended period of time and have a final product to present.
-
Design Thinking
Design thinking provides a specific solution-based approach to solving problems. There are five stages of Design Thinking: empathize, define (the problem), ideate, prototype, and test.
-
Connected Learning
Connected learning is made up of three components: personal interests/passions, supportive relationships, and opportunities.
Why We Created LEV
Technology changes quickly, and educators are expected to prepare students for a technology-centered world while supporting different learning needs and experience levels.
LEV makes that work easier.
The LEV Library offers flexible, slide-driven lessons that are ready to use or adapt. Each lesson combines technology skill-building with collaboration, problem-solving, choice, and creativity. Accessibility and social-emotional support are built into the learning experience from the start.
Built From Real Learning Environments
LEV is an initiative of Tech Unlimited, a nonprofit that uses technology and social-emotional learning to support neurodiverse young people.
LEV grew from our experience developing and teaching technology programs with neurodiverse students. Co-created by educators and social workers, its resources offer practical lessons educators can adapt.
Designed for Neurodiverse Learners. Powerful for All Students.
LEV puts neurodiverse learners at the center of the learning experience. Accessibility, social-emotional learning, flexible instruction, and creative choice are built into lessons from the start. The result is an inclusive approach that supports different ways of learning while helping all students build technology skills, confidence, and creative expression.
