About LEV

LEV is a collection of ready-to-use lesson plans designed to reinforce social-emotional learning skills through tech topics and hands-on activities created by Tech Unlimited.

The name LEV is inspired by Lev Vygotsky, a psychologist who studied how people learn and develop. His theories showed that learning works best when it’s social and when students get the right support. He believed students learn most effectively when they’re guided from what they can do on their own to what they can do with help. That idea deeply aligns with Tech Unlimited’s approach to teaching neurodiverse learners: educators, tools, and peers work together to unlock potential.

LEV is designed with neurodiversity in mind. Here you’ll discover:

  • Lesson plans and activities tailored to different types of learners
  • Social-Emotional Learning activities, from icebreakers to full lessons
  • Strategies for educators to engage students

Our Teaching Ethos

  • Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

UDL is a pedagogy that meets students where they are by removing barriers to learning. Teachers provide multiple ways for students to engage, access information and demonstrate what they know.

  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

SEL encompasses five competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.

  • Project-Based Learning (PBL)

Students engage in solving real-world problems over an extended period of time and have a final product to present.

  • Design Thinking

Design thinking provides a specific solution-based approach to solving problems. There are five stages of Design Thinking: empathize, define (the problem), ideate, prototype, and test.

  • Connected Learning

Connected learning is made up of three components: personal interests/passions, supportive relationships, and opportunities.
